The main responsibilities of a Parish Councillor are to:
Participate fully in the business of the Parish Council
Ensure with other Councillors that the Parish Council is managed properly
Promote the well-being of the Parish
Attend and participate in Parish Council meetings
Fulfil the statutory requirements of an elected member of the Parish Council, including compliance with all relevant codes of conduct and maintaining high ethical standards
The main responsibilities of the Parish Clerk are to:
Carry out the decisions of the Parish Council
Provide advice and guidance on matters of procedure and law
Ensure that the business of the Parish Council runs smoothly
Ensure that the Parish Council’s financial transactions are properly authorised, recorded and audited
